I'm not sure there's anything that could have been done other than checking for that situation before we departed originally (if possible), and maybe being able to land somewhere closer than having to return all the way to JFK. So a planned 10 pm arrival in PHX turned into 6 am. Clearance is hit or miss but when you hit, it’s a home run.Cons: "It was just a mechanical issue that forced our plane to turn around 2 hours already into the flight, return to JFK, and then wait another two hours to board a new flight to go to PHX. I settled on two king size fitted sheets, originally $ 50/each marked down to $ 3 each and a bed skirt which was marked down from $ 110 to $ 15 (who would pay $ 110 for a bed skirt?).
I was tempted to buy things I didn’t need nor want and name some friend’s kid «Zack» just to buy the adorable little bumble bee shower robe with hood for $ 5. Signs in clearance read, « 50% off the lowest marked price» then the weekly special was an additional 30% off THAT price. Then, like a siren song there it was - clearance. The prices were good if you are use to paying The Company Store prices from the internet but I’m still poor and 30% off 600 count sheets were still too expensive for me. After the many twists and turns of French Island, you arrive at the non-descript building and walk into what appears to be a normal bedding store. First, you have to find the outlet store. I bought a fitted sheet for $ 14 at Wal-Mart, I couldn’t imagine it being cheaper. Many people told me about The Company Store and I was skeptical after reviewing their website. What is a grown-up bed? For us it is a king size proper bed with memory foam and box springs (the first we have ever had). V and I decided it was time for a grown-up bed.
